Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium Grant is funding given to schools by the government to tackle national inequalities in educational achievement. It is up to each school to decide how to spend the money.

At Ratton we believe that all children can achieve regardless of their background, and have high expectations of all our students.  We understand that some children need more support than others and are committed to closing the achievement gap.  We have used research evidence from the Educational Endowment Foundation to plan how we will spend our Pupil Premium Grant.  We know that ‘what works’ is intrinsically linked to quality first teaching, and a key focus for us at Ratton is the quality of teacher-student relationships;  providing helpful feedback in the classroom and ensuring no child is left behind.  Details of our spending and future plans are outlined in these two documents. If you require further information about the pupil premium this is available on request from Mark Hatton, Assistant Headteacher.
