FROM TRUST SCHOOL TO ACADEMY

Following our consultation with staff, parents and stakeholders on the possibility of Ratton School becoming an Academy the Full Governing Body met on Tuesday 6th March 2012. At that meeting, after careful consideration, the Governors made the decision to make an immediate application to the Department for Education, to convert Ratton School to an Academy. The Governors have appointed a working group to manage the process subject to ratification by the Full Governors and the Ratton Trust. We anticipate the application process will take up to four or five months. During this time the school will be keeping parents, carers and stakeholders informed of the progress of the application via the school website.
