Ratton have been part of The Young Enterprise Programme in the 2016/17 academic year across South East Englan. The area covers Kent, Surrey, Sussex and The Channel Islands
Both Amelia Jones and Jake Wheatley had been nominated for the Journey Award and shortlisted to the last 4. The award is open to every one of the 1,700 participants and is a recognition of the impact that the Company Programme has had on the individuals and how they have developed over the year. So it is an amazing feat to get to the final 4.
There to present the award was Luke Liddiard, the 2014 National Winner of the Journey Award, an inspiration to us all as he has turned his life around from being homeless at 16 to setting up a successful company of his own.
In the competition Jake did fantastically well coming runner up, he was pipped to the post by Amelia who won the Award outright and is now to be considered for the National Award to be held at the British Film Institute in July.
