Our Irish dance troupe Rinceoiri Ratton presented their 6th Annual Irish Night on Thursday 30th March at the Winter Garden and sold out the Winter Garden for the first time in 2 years!
The evening featured a total of 14 mesmerizing Irish dance routines as well as Ratton students performing traditional Irish ballads and songs from modern Irish artists.
Also performing were groups from Langney and Ocklynge primary schools, who were taught routines through Rinceoiri's outreach programme, learning the steps in just one day!
The Mayor, speaking at the event said that the performance was "Better than Riverdance" and was "Blown away" by the amount of talent on stage. A huge well done to all involved!
The dancers now have a very busy few weeks ahead of them - Below are a few of the upcoming performances:
7th May - Joel Calver Fundraising Fete Sunday 7th May at 1pm
10th May - Bexhill College Dance Show
27th May - Eastbourne Carnival

"My mum and I attended the Irish Night at the Winter Garden on Thursday. We were in awe of the talent on the stage...From the dancers to the singers, from the musicians to Oliver Message singing 'Paddy's sick note' (Hilarious!). The show was truly fabulous. Well done to everyone involved. How wonderful that we have teachers in Eastbourne who encourage and engage the local students so much. We can't wait for next year's show!" - Alice Bell
